Neighbourhood Help Terms
Neighbourhood Help is a local Quick Help pathway for seniors, families, home users, parents, small businesses, community groups and neighbours who need practical technology support.
1. Scope
Neighbourhood Help may include device setup, Wi-Fi, printers, phone/tablet support, scam safety guidance, family tech, small business IT, home office support and community group support.
2. Ambassadors refer, providers perform
Neighbourhood Ambassadors are referral connectors. They do not perform jobs unless separately approved as verified independent providers. Higher-risk work may require current certificates, public liability insurance, professional indemnity insurance or other checks.
3. Vulnerable customers and home visits
Requests involving seniors, vulnerable persons, carers, NDIS-adjacent support, home visits, aged care, school students or minors may require additional safeguards, parent/guardian involvement, public-place rules, provider checks or refusal/referral to another service.
4. Scam safety
Scam safety support is practical guidance only. Customers should contact their bank, platform, police or relevant authority directly for urgent fraud, identity, financial or cybercrime issues.
Guided intake referral links and profile sharing
Referral links, QR codes and share tools may route users to guided intake pages, student support, senior support, support-organisation technology support and accessibility support, scam/security help, device repair, provider profiles, ambassador profiles or direct booking pages. Referral credit, visibility or statistics may depend on valid clicks, requests, bookings, completion, review status and fraud checks.
Referral participants must not spam, mislead, impersonate, imply false endorsement, pressure vulnerable users, create fake bookings, farm reviews or use referral tools for scam activity. We may disable links, remove referral credit, restrict accounts or investigate suspicious activity.
Neighbour Help Board update
The Neighbour Help Board may allow local residents, families, carers, seniors, home offices and small businesses to submit technology-help requests, including fixed-category and custom requests. Requests may be held for admin review before they are shown to providers or converted into a quote, job, dispatch assignment or invoice.
The board is intended for local technology help and related support only. We may prioritise or escalate scam/security concerns, reject unsafe or out-of-scope requests, request more information or keep sensitive details hidden from providers until appropriate.
