Electronic consent and records policy
How online acceptance, email verification and electronic service records are used.
Private Help Thread access PIN
The six-digit PIN for a Private Help Thread is an access check. Entering it shows that the person has the link and PIN supplied for that enquiry. It does not, by itself, accept a quote, confirm a booking, authorise a repair, approve payment, accept a scope change or create a warranty claim.
The PIN is not a digital signature and is not proof of legal identity by itself. We may require a separate contact, authority or identity check for sensitive records or binding approvals.
Consent is recorded only when a page clearly describes the action and you select the relevant approval, acceptance or confirmation control.
If access is reissued, the previous link, PIN and remembered browser access stop working while the same conversation is preserved.
Electronic acceptance
You may accept terms, approve work, confirm a quote or provide consent through a clearly labelled checkbox, button, code, email reply or other electronic action. The page will indicate what the action means.
Access codes are access checks
A Quick Help email code confirms access to the supplied email account for the limited purpose of viewing the request. A Private Help Thread PIN confirms possession of the link and PIN supplied for that enquiry. Neither is a blanket acceptance of a quote, repair, payment, referral or other contract unless the page clearly says the action also records that consent.
Records we may keep
We may keep the version of terms shown, timestamps, request reference, action taken, browser or network information, delivery details, verification result and related access records. Access codes and PINs are kept only in a securely protected form after they are issued.
Copies, correction and withdrawal
You may request a copy of an electronic record or ask us to correct inaccurate contact information. You may withdraw consent where the law and service allow, but this may prevent us from providing the requested feature. Withdrawal does not invalidate actions already lawfully completed.
Accessibility and alternatives
If you cannot use an electronic process, contact us for a reasonable alternative. Additional identity checks may be required before private information is disclosed.
