From Intent to Action: What We’re Building With QuoteMe

The aim is to reduce the friction between “I have a problem” and “I know what to do next.” This series follows the decisions behind QuoteMe and the human service it is designed to support.

Inside this part

In this founder development series, we explain the design and implementation behind QuoteMe. Future work is identified as development direction; an implemented component does not establish that every deployment or customer outcome has been verified.

Then: understand an everyday problem

We began with the problem described in Part 1: customers often know a device is not working without knowing which service to request. The first useful step was to interpret that explanation and ask a relevant question.

The lesson was not to replace a technician’s diagnosis with a confident label. It was to make the starting conversation easier for the person asking for help.

Now: connect understanding with preparation

The implementation has grown to include conversation state, relevant clarification, corrections and continuity, predictable next-action rules, bounded read-only tools and completion preparation. These pieces work towards a clearer request that a customer can review.

The important boundary remains: preparation is not authorisation. AI tools do not gain unrestricted permission to book, charge, change accounts or approve paid work. The customer confirmation path and human service remain central.

Existing foundations, careful integration

The wider Intent Platform already provides planning, capability, policy and workflow foundations. The QuoteMe bridge lets that work be evaluated and connected in stages, including shadow-mode planning. Existing code is a starting point for integration, not proof that every planned customer journey is live.

We separate implementation, automated checks, deployment and hosted verification. Each gives different evidence. That distinction helps us describe progress without confusing a passing test with a successful real-world service outcome.

Next: better evidence of progress

Our development direction includes clearer customer goals and blockers, better coordination of multiple needs, careful use of My Tech context, more reliable interrupted journeys and stronger outcome verification. Some foundations exist; broader capability and integration need staged validation.

The question is not simply whether the system produced a reply. Did it preserve the correct information? Did the customer understand what was ready? Did the handover reach the right person? Was the eventual outcome checked by someone with the relevant evidence?

Two initiatives, a shared human purpose

Your IT & Tech Mates combines local technology service with practical software improvements. TheFixers.APP is a separate initiative focused on community, introductions and trusted connections. A shared founder vision does not mean the applications are interchangeable or automatically integrated.

The goal is to make useful help easier to reach. AI can reduce repeated explanation and administration. People still bring judgement, accountability and relationships. That is the meaning behind AI-assisted. Human-confirmed. Locally delivered.

Keep building from real friction

We will keep testing the journey against the problems people actually bring to us. For a small business, the same approach starts with the question “Where are customers or staff getting stuck?” Sometimes the answer is better wording, a clearer form or a simpler process. AI is one possible tool.

Frequently asked questions

Is the complete development roadmap already live?

No. This article separates implemented foundations from continuing integration, validation and future development.

What stays with people as QuoteMe develops?

Customers review and confirm their requests. Technicians assess suitable support, and important commercial decisions remain subject to human review and agreement.
