Your IT & Tech Mates
Advertising, Branding and Logo Use Policy
Effective date: 27 May 2026
1. Purpose and Related Terms
This Advertising, Branding and Logo Use Policy governs use of the Your IT & Tech Mates name, trading names, logos, icons, badges, screenshots, referral materials, service descriptions, website content, promotional claims, social media content, paid advertisements and other marketing assets.
This policy must be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Service Terms, Referral Terms, Referral Policy, Ambassador Network Terms, Provider Partner Terms, Payment and Commission Integrity Policy, Fraud, Scam and Integrity Policy, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer Policy.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
2. Ownership of Brand Assets
All Your IT & Tech Mates names, logos, trading styles, badges, website content, designs, promotional materials, copy, icons, screenshots and brand elements are owned or licensed by us. Nothing in this policy transfers ownership of those brand assets to any customer, referrer, ambassador, provider, partner or third party.
Where we permit brand use, that permission is limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and only for the approved purpose. We may withdraw permission at any time where brand use is misleading, outdated, unauthorised, non-compliant, unsafe or inconsistent with our terms.
3. Permitted Brand Use
Brand assets may only be used to truthfully promote services, referrals, offers or opportunities genuinely available through Your IT & Tech Mates and in accordance with the applicable terms.
- Authorised referrers and ambassadors may share official referral links and approved referral material.
- Authorised providers and partners may state that they work with, support, refer to, or provide services through Your IT & Tech Mates only where that statement is accurate and current.
- Approved badges, screenshots or logos must not be altered, distorted or used in a misleading context.
- Any claim about pricing, availability, warranty, repair outcomes, commissions, rewards, status, verification or service coverage must be accurate and not misleading.
4. Independent Status and No Exclusivity
Use of Your IT & Tech Mates branding does not create employment, agency, partnership, franchise rights, territorial rights, exclusivity, guaranteed work, guaranteed income, guaranteed ranking or guaranteed job allocation.
Terms such as “local partner”, “ambassador”, “provider”, “referrer”, “approved contact”, “community contact”, “support partner” or similar words must not be used in a way that suggests the person is an employee, authorised representative, franchisee, owner, director or decision-maker of Your IT & Tech Mates unless we expressly confirm that status in writing.
5. Referral and Ambassador Promotion Rules
Referral and ambassador promotions must comply with the applicable referral, ambassador, payment, commission and fraud policies. Referral eligibility, the 5% manual referral reward review, the 14-day hold, the $50 minimum withdrawal balance, reversals, cancellations and review rights are governed exclusively by the relevant Your IT & Tech Mates terms. The 5% referral reward is included inside the 13.5% total platform commission and is not added on top of the customer price.
- No misleading claims about earnings, guaranteed income or lifetime commission, lifetime referral reward or recurring referral reward.
- No manipulation of referral attribution, self-referrals, fake jobs, duplicate jobs, circular activity, forced redirects, bots, deceptive traffic, spam, scraped leads or unauthorised bulk messaging.
- No pressure selling, misleading scarcity claims, false urgency, or claims that a customer must use a referral link to receive legal rights or warranty support.
- No advertising that encourages cash payment, direct payment, private bank transfer, side deals or off-platform work to qualify for commission.
6. Paid Advertising Rules
Paid advertising that refers to Your IT & Tech Mates, our services, our referral program, our providers, our partners, our pricing or our brand assets must be truthful, clear and compliant with Australian Consumer Law and the advertising platform’s policies.
- Ads must clearly identify the advertiser where the ad is placed by a provider, partner, ambassador, referrer or third party rather than by Your IT & Tech Mates.
- Ads must not impersonate our official website, official social media accounts, Google Business Profile, support desk, phone number, booking pages or payment channels.
- Ads must not misrepresent ranking, verification, endorsement, pricing, warranty, commission, referral rewards, availability, service areas or repair outcomes.
- Advertisers must not bid on, register, or use Your IT & Tech Mates brand names, confusingly similar names, misspellings, domains, social handles or trademark keywords in a way that misleads customers or diverts official traffic, unless we approve it in writing.
- We may restrict, prohibit or require changes to keyword bidding, ad copy, landing pages, creatives, claims, comparison advertising or brand asset use at our discretion.
7. Prohibited Brand Use
The following uses are prohibited unless expressly approved by us in writing:
- using our brand assets to facilitate off-platform payments, direct technician payments, private bank transfers, cash jobs or unrecorded side deals;
- claiming official endorsement, employment, partnership, franchise rights, exclusivity, ranking priority or territorial ownership;
- creating confusingly similar websites, domains, business names, social media pages, ads, email addresses or phone numbers;
- misrepresenting verification status, insurance, qualifications, pricing, refunds, warranty, legal rights, service coverage or repair guarantees;
- altering logos, badges, customer reviews, screenshots, trust marks, certificates or advertising creatives in a misleading way;
- using false reviews, fake testimonials, undisclosed paid endorsements or AI-generated testimonials presented as real customer feedback;
- using our brand in spam, scams, phishing, malware, deceptive redirects, fake support pages, unauthorised lead-generation pages or misleading comparison advertising.
8. Required Disclaimer for Third-Party Promotion
Where practical, any provider, partner, ambassador, referrer or third party using our brand assets should include a clear disclaimer such as:
“Your IT & Tech Mates services, referrals and rewards are subject to the applicable Your IT & Tech Mates terms. I am not an employee, agent or franchisee of Your IT & Tech Mates unless expressly stated in writing.”
Where a provider or partner is promoting their own business, they must not suggest that their business is owned by Your IT & Tech Mates unless that is true and authorised.
9. Reporting Brand Misuse
Suspected misuse of our brand, advertising, referral links, customer leads, payment channels, fake pages, scam pages or misleading claims may be reported to us with links, screenshots, phone numbers, email addresses, invoices, messages, ad screenshots or other relevant evidence.
We may investigate using service records, payment records, referral records, advertising screenshots, timestamps, customer messages, call logs, URLs, metadata and other available evidence.
10. Enforcement
Where misuse is identified, we may require correction, modification, removal, takedown, clarification, account review, referral cancellation, commission withholding, commission reversal, reward hold, provider or partner suspension, termination of brand permission, reporting to an advertising platform, reporting to a payment provider, reporting to a regulator, or legal action where appropriate.
Unapproved advertising, misleading brand use, or brand use connected to off-platform payments may also affect commission eligibility under the Payment and Commission Integrity Policy, Referral Terms, Ambassador Terms, Provider Partner Terms and Fraud, Scam and Integrity Policy.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions apply from the stated effective date. Continued use of our brand assets, referral links, badges or promotional material after an update means you must comply with the updated policy.
Your IT & Tech Mates Commission and Referral Model
Total platform commission: 13.5% of the relevant qualifying job value.
Referral reward review: If an eligible referred job is completed and paid, the referral may be reviewed for a 5% manual reward. That 5% is included inside the 13.5% total platform commission; it is not added on top of the customer price.
Payment is manual only and normally after a minimum 14-day hold after customer payment is confirmed, subject to anti-scam, anti-cheating, duplicate, self-referral, refund, payment-clearance, chargeback, dispute, attribution, customer-consent and admin checks.
Referral rewards are not lifetime rewards, recurring rewards, trailing commissions, employment wages, partnership profits, franchise payments or automatic entitlements. Each job is reviewed separately and must meet the applicable Your IT & Tech Mates terms.
Minimum withdrawal balance: Approved referral, ambassador, partner or commission payments are manual only and generally require a minimum approved balance of $50 before withdrawal can be requested, unless Your IT & Tech Mates approves otherwise in writing.
Cash payments, direct technician payments, private bank transfers, side deals, split payments, payment redirection and off-platform or unrecorded payments do not qualify for commission, referral rewards, ambassador rewards, partner fees, lead fees or incentives unless Your IT & Tech Mates expressly approves and records the arrangement in writing.
This clause must be read with the Payment and Commission Integrity Policy, Referral Terms, Referral Policy, Ambassador Network Terms, Provider Partner Terms and Fraud, Scam and Integrity Policy.
