Quick answer

When a service request is the right next step, we prepare a short editable summary for QuoteMe. The customer checks it and chooses whether to continue.

The practical problem

Customers can get frustrated when they explain a problem once and then have to type the same thing into a form. Automatically submitting the request would save typing, but it would also remove an important customer review step.

What we built

We built a safe way to carry a short problem summary into the existing QuoteMe form. The customer can read it, change it and add missing details before anything becomes a real request.

How the workflow works

  1. The customer explains the problem and receives useful guidance.
  2. When QuoteMe is the right next step, the website prepares a short summary.
  3. QuoteMe opens with that summary as a starting point.
  4. The customer reviews and edits the wording.
  5. Only the customer’s normal QuoteMe submission creates the request.
  6. After verification, the existing support process and Private Help continue as normal.

Where AI is useful

AI can help organise a short or messy problem description into clearer wording before the customer reviews it.

Where AI is not allowed to decide

AI cannot submit QuoteMe, approve paid work, set a binding price or bypass the normal verification and customer-review steps.

Security, privacy and cost controls

The prepared details are limited and checked on the server. Browser fields are never allowed to become hidden pricing or job-status controls. Private Help remains for verified support, not a public shortcut.

What another small business can take from this

For many service businesses, using AI to reduce repeated typing and then handing the customer into the existing enquiry or quote process can be more useful than adding a general chatbot.

What this does not prove

A better starting summary can improve the request, but it cannot guarantee that every detail is complete. A person may still need to ask questions or suggest a different next step.

Frequently asked questions

Does the website submit QuoteMe for me?

No. You review the prepared wording and decide whether to submit the normal QuoteMe form.

Can I change the prepared summary?

Yes. It is only a starting point and is meant to be reviewed and edited.

Does opening the summary create a request?

No. A request is created only through the normal QuoteMe submission.

Can AI set the final price?

No. Pricing and paid work remain under the normal human-reviewed process.

What happens after QuoteMe is submitted?

The existing verification, service and Private Help process continues as normal.
