Windows God Mode is a handy way to access multiple Windows commands in one single window. God Mode is a special option available in the past several versions of Windows included Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 that gives you quick access to most of the applets and commands from the Windows Control Panel.

You can treat Windows God mode as a special folder in Windows that gives you quick access to over 200 tools and settings that are normally tucked away in the Control Panel and other windows and menus.

How to Activate God Mode in Windows

Here’s how to use God Mode in Windows.

In Windows, I find it irritating to waste time rowing through the menus in Settings to find something I need, and then finding it in a place that isn’t obvious. Or even having to resort to using a search engine to find an article that says where to find it.

So I have placed shortcuts to settings I use frequently on my desktop. It’s still quicker, even if I know where to find it without using the shortcut. Here is an example: A desktop link to the task scheduler. Here’s how the shortcut looks on my desktop:

The trick is knowing exactly what to put in Target. You have to dig around for that, I did not see them all listed in one place.

And now, here’s the prize: God Mode. It contains shortcuts to everything imaginable. Create a shortcut on your desktop. and copy this into Target. Then press OK to save it.

Then open the shortcut. I loved this so much I made my own icon for it.
